History of My Hobby

The hobby of wargaming has been around for centuaries but games workshop made a big impression withe release of hteir first game, Warhammer, this was a medievil style table-top battle game containing many different fantasy races as it was based partly on Lord Of The Rings. When the founders of gmaes-workshop realised they were on to something the teamed up with a minature production company who mad ethe minatures for the players to use. eventually games-workshop released a futuristic battle zone in the form of "Space Marine" after a large amount of gaming and improvements they bore Warhammer 40000, the futuristic battle zone containing many galaxy and races from Super Humans to insinctive aliens 5 times the size of a man.
Again this was developed and after several updates we are at the stage we are at now "Warhammer 40000 4th edition". I began playing in third edition and was slightly anoyed by the change as I had to buy all the new rulke books but now I enjoy this "new" edition and have played many a battle.

My Background

I first started playing Warhammer 40k when I was 12, I ma now 16 so have had 4 years of tough experience. I learnt the hard way, my mates taught me how to play so I was at a slight disadvantage in my earlier battles. But I have now become quite an accomplished battler, with two main armies, Orks and Imperail Guard.
